Who am I?

For those of you who don’t know much about me, I’ve invested the last 40 years to a number of assignments in the Doug Robinsonselling universe.  Without boring you, but to show street cred; the first 20 years was centered in two industries, commercial food sales and distribution and financial services. I held positions in both commercial and residential sales, as well as assignments in sales management, both with small sales teams and multi-state sales forces.

The second 20 years was spent in the services industry, as a trainer in sales, sales management and customer service; as well as a sales coach. I instructed and prepped new sales employees, mentored seasoned reps in the field, and provided short media training sessions on a weekly basis.

Sell is NOT a Four Letter WordAfter leaving the corporate environment in 2011, I wrote and published Sell is NOT a Four Letter Word, and started Robinson Training Services, LLC; to provide training and coaching services to business and franchise owners.

What Will I Post?

Unlike many blogs and newsletters that only offer teaser pieces to readers, I will post commentary that is complete and relevant, adding value to your business. My focus will be sales ideas and coaching tips for sales reps in the B2B and P2P arenas, regardless whether you sell in person or over the phone. Additionally I will offer sales management ideas and strategies for those who are responsible for leading both small and large sales teams. And finally, I will put forward some customer service suggestions to help you provide service levels that will continually wow your customers.

 

When Will Your Hear From Me?

Initially, I will be posting articles three times per week. After an introductory period I will settle in at one post per week. I realize how busy salespeople, managers, and owners are, so when you don’t have time to read the posts immediately, please archive them for future reading and usage. And finally, you are welcome to expose and share this blog with others.
